Teen caught with Molotov cocktail in Elkton gets five years

ELKTON — An 18-year-old man received a five-year sentence Tuesday for his role in possessing a Molotov cocktail that investigators found inside a pickup truck during an Elkton traffic stop in late July, according to Cecil County Circuit Court records.

Elkton Police Department investigators reported that the defendant, Timothy Michael Dickerson, and his two co-defendants — Xavier Armani Santana, 20; and Bobbie Sue Perkins, 19 — planned to detonate that homemade bomb to gain indirect revenge for the killing of their 14-year-old friend, Jordin Collins, on the street of Hollingsworth Manor in Elkton.

A one-armed man in his 30s stabbed Collins to death on Road C in that neighborhood shortly before midnight on July 18 while Collins — armed with a 2-by-4 — and several of his companions were beating the handicapped victim, including one who struck him several times with a shovel.
