Major million-dollar retail hub nears completion in growing area of San Antonio

Residents living on San Antonio’s Far Westside are no stranger to new construction projects —  their area has seen nonstop growth over the past few years, with tech, and residential developments emerging along several of its well-traveled corridors. Folks should be aware, because a retail boom is also underway.

Among the region’s many in-progress real estate is Atrium of Arcadia, a $1.4 million shopping plaza headed to 13746 Potranco Road. Details for the endeavor were first revealed in a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) report filed last March. Now, project members are opening up about how construction is progressing, confirmed tenants and an estimated grand opening date. Photos show its nearing completion after roughly eight months of work.

Juan Rodriguez, realtor at Ron Heller Properties Inc., which is representing the property, tells MySA that construction is moving along faster than the team expected. With the way its progressing, the shell of the building is expected to be complete by the end of March. Construction on the one-story, 8,255 square-foot structure began last May, according to the TDLR.

“They’re doing the exterior stucco and glass work … then they’ll be doing the driveway, the parking lot, and then it, it’ll be pretty much done at that point,” Rodriguez said…
