Historic problem property demolished

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – For all the paranormal activity reported at the Painted Lady Bed and Brew in northwest Albuquerque, staff members say they’ve been haunted recently by something else at a home two doors down.

The owner of the business, located on Bellamah Ave. NW, has seen success in revitalizing properties in the area.  But one historic home on that street he recently purchased hasn’t panned out the way he hoped.

Jesse Herron bought an old home just down the street from the Painted Lady, but his staff told KOB 4 it was in poor condition, and they realized in February of last year that it likely needed to come down. That’s when they reportedly began reaching out to City of Albuquerque officials to look into demolishing the home…
