Longmont explores options for new city flag

Longmont officials are preparing to review the future of the city’s official flag, a 50-year-old civic symbol that some leaders say no longer reflects the community’s identity or visibility.

The Longmont City Council is expected to discuss a possible redesign during an upcoming study session after directing staff in January to compile background on the current flag and estimate costs tied to updating the city’s visual branding.
