Leeanna Pato, of the Bronx, died Friday, Jan. 30, after suffering a massive heart attack related to serious pre-existing medical conditions, according to a GoFundMe campaign.
Doctors performed an emergency seven-hour surgery and implanted a heart pump to keep her alive. Despite those efforts, Leeanna later suffered a stroke and remained in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
