Clearwater man charged with transmitting harmful material to a minor

CLEARWATER, Florida — A Clearwater man has been arrested on charges of transmitting harmful material to a minor and unlawful use of a communication device, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Isis Kapadia, a 25-year-old resident of Clearwater, was taken into custody on February 2 and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. The arrest followed an investigation that began in August 2025, during a human trafficking operation conducted by the Tampa Police Department and FDLE’s Tampa Bay Regional Operations Center.

During the operation, an individual identifying as “Sam” contacted an undercover FDLE agent posing as a 13-year-old girl. Further investigation and search warrants revealed “Sam” to be Kapadia. The charges against Kapadia stem from his communications with the undercover agent, stated the FDLE…
