Man responsible for Grand Rapids area graffiti spree ordered to pay $14,700

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A 27-year-old man who police say was involved in a spree of graffiti vandalism last year has been sentenced to pay more than $14,000 in restitution.

Jarod Michael Walker was sentenced to the restitution a ordered to serve 120 hours of community service at a Thursday, Feb. 5 sentencing.

“These graffiti incidents happened throughout the summer and defaced dozens of businesses and public property in Plainfield Township and the greater Grand Rapids area,” Kent County sheriff’s deputies wrote in a September social media post after Walker was arrested…
