Mistrial declared in Morgan County capital murder case

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — A Morgan County judge has declared a mistrial in the trial of Kendall Rucker, who was accused of killing two people in 2017.

Officials said the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict, leading the judge to declare the mistrial. The case will be reset for trial at a later date.

Rucker was on trial for allegedly shooting David Gullatte and Sharonda Bouldin inside their Decatur home on Clearview Street. A family member said Rucker and Gullatte were second cousins…
