LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Two weeks after the winter storm hit Kentucky, local hardware stores say they’re still overwhelmed and wiped clean of the one thing everyone is asking for: salt.
Chevy Chase Hardware says that since the storm, every single day they’ve had people walking in the store or calling asking for salt. They’ve had to tell their customers no recently.
“The hardest part is telling people we don’t have what they need and listening to the disappointment,” said Tad Dunn with Chevy Chase Hardware.
