(FOX 5/KUSI) — A Canadian-based premium restaurant chain will soon be opening a new location in San Diego.
Westfield UTC mall in University City along La Jolla Village Drive will welcome the addition of JOEY, a popular hospitality brand headquartered in Vancouver, Canada that is widely known for its globally inspired cuisine and “upscale casual” settings.

According to JOEY’s website, every location is “built to elevate its surroundings, often from the ground up, and no two restaurants are ever the same.”
The chain currently has seven restaurants in Canada with numerous sites in the U.S. in Washington (Bellevue, Seattle and Tukwila), California (Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach and Santa Clara), Florida (Miami) and Texas (Dallas and Houston)…
