SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A 27-year-old Sarasota man riding a bicycle was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash Thursday night at Bee Ridge Road and McIntosh Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a vehicle was traveling west on Bee Ridge Road when the front of the vehicle struck the rider near the east side of the intersection. It is unclear what direction the bike rider was traveling, FHP said.
