ROCKFORD, IL — The family-owned Gustafson’s Furniture & Mattress is temporarily closed as the business transitions to new management, promising to fill open orders and hoping to reopen soon.
With the doors closed and notices posted about failed deliveries, customers began to speculate that the store had closed for good and wonder what is happening with their furniture orders.
But the store posted a message on Facebook Feb. 4 from David Gustafson that the family is “restructuring the business so that Dale and Trina can retire, and David Gustafson and Christopher Gustafson can continue serving our community for another 98 years.”…
