GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Local 5 livestreamed the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral for former Bishop Robert J. Banks.
Bishop Robert J. Banks died at the age of 97 on Sunday, January 25. Bishop Banks was among the country’s oldest Bishops at the time of his death. He was a priest for 73 years and a Bishop for 40.
The Mass of Christian Burial began at 11 a.m., following visitation, with the Most Reverend David L. Ricken, Bishop of Green Bay, as celebrant and the Most Reverend Robert F. Morneau as homilist. Burial will follow in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery…
