Auburn High School students protest against ICE

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Several Auburn High School students hold anti-immigration enforcement signs along Auburn Street.

A large group of students was seen just before 3 p.m. Friday, lined up along Auburn Street with some standing on the medians in the middle of the street.

At 3:14 p.m., it is reported that police were telling students to leave.

Just a few minutes later, police squad vehicles were seen blocking a portion of Auburn Street.

According to a Rockford Public Schools spokesperson, “The students did not inform Auburn administrators that they would be leaving class to protest outside.”…
