Pierce County, Washington – A traffic stop escalated into a pursuit Wednesday after a driver fled a tow truck, prompting a PIT maneuver and arrest, authorities said.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, a traffic deputy spotted a Ford F-150 pickup around 10:30 a.m. Feb. 4 near 721nd Street East and Canyon Road that had just fled Tacoma police after being hooked to a tow truck.
