Big warm up for the start of the work week

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Mostly dry through the weekend with temperatures in the 30s and 40s. A big warmup will be underway for the start of the work week! Our next best chances for rain arrives Tuesday – Thursday.

For the rest of the day, anticipate partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures hanging out in the lower 40s. Clouds will gradually break apart overnight with a stray flurry possible. Temperatures drop into the lower 20s overnight. Due to melting snow earlier today, be on the look out for some patchy areas of black ice.

A brief cold spell will take hold over the Tri-State for Saturday. Highs will only reach the upper 20s to lower 30s. The weather will remain quiet Saturday night with lows dropping down into the lower 20s. Winds turn out of the south as high pressure pushes off to the east Sunday. Highs will top out in the lower 40s; which is right around average for this time of year…
