FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — To prepare for the Westminster Dog Show, widely regarded as the pinnacle of the pastime, dogs have to do a lot more than just look pretty.
“He is in top condition,” said Sherri Spieth, who owns a Yorkshire terrier named Shaggy that just took home Best of Breed at the 150th Westminster Dog Show. “I work with him on the treadmill at least three times a week.”
Spieth, a Fort Wayne resident who has showed dogs for decades, attended the famous show in New York City Monday and Tuesday. Shaggy represented one of 17 entries vying for the Best of Breed competition…
