‘The mother of all procurements’: Indiana to seek bids for $68B Medicaid managed care contracts

proposals from insurers for $68 billion in contracts for Medicaid managed care services, according to a Jan. 30 presentation by the state’s Family and Social Services Administration.

The state plans to issue the request for proposals across the Healthy Indiana Plan, Hoosier Healthwise, Hoosier Care Connect and Indiana PathWays for Aging in August. Contracts would start Jan. 1, 2029, Secretary of the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration Mitchell Roob said. He coined the effort, “the mother of all procurements.”…
