Mobile man’s murder conviction upheld in Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A murder conviction of a Mobile man is being upheld by the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals.

According to a news release, the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals has affirmed 40-year-old Leo Alexander’s conviction for the murder of Machavellia Bagsby.

Evidence presented in court showed that Bagsby was home with his wife, mother, and children on Oct. 15, 2020. At some point in the night, Bagsby’s mother woke up from “numerous gunshots,” the release said…
