MNPD seeking man accused of assaulting WeGo bus driver in January

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department is asking for help identifying a man accused of hitting a bus driver last month.

According to Metro police, the incident happened on Jan. 24.

Authorities said a bus driver for WeGo Public Transit asked the suspect for payment and he argued with her. Then, he allegedly punched her in the head and broke a window on the bus.

The driver was not seriously injured, the MNPD said, and the suspect fled on foot.
