The driver of a Mazda M3 has died following Saturday’s 5 p.m. crash on Elm Hill Pike at Ermac Drive. The investigation indicates David Lagrone, 48, was traveling westbound in his Mazda when he made a left-hand turn at the intersection in front of an oncoming Chevrolet Impala.
The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to travel into a parking lot and grass area before coming to rest upside down at the bottom of a creek. Both the 23-year-old driver and passenger of the Chevrolet were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where they were treated and released.
