5 indicted, 7 convicted after being found in Northwest Florida illegally

NORTHWEST FLORIDA (WKRG) — Five people who were allegedly previously deported from the United States were indicted and seven people who had re-entered the country illegally were convicted in Northwest Florida of immigration crimes.

According to a Department of Justice news release, all of the indictments and convictions happened during the month of January.

The five people indicted include:

  • Pedro Vasquez-Guerra, 26, who is from El Salvador and was found in Okaloosa County in December 2025. He was previously deported in 2017.
  • Jose Perez-Perez, 42, who is from Mexico and was found in Escambia County in December 2025. He was previously deported three times in 2011 and once in 2023.
  • Emin Perez-Mendez, 37, who is from Mexico and was found in Santa Rosa County in December 2025. He was previously deported in 2018.
  • Delmer Francisco Garcia-Palma, who is from Honduras and was found in Santa Rosa County in January 2026. He was previously deported in 2017, 2019 and 2020.
  • Genaro Lopez Lopez, 49, who is from Honduras and was found in Santa Rosa County in January 2026. He was previously deported twice in 2009.

If convicted, they face a maximum of two years in prison and a $250,000 fine, according to the release…
