GREECE, N.Y. — Three people are charged with evidence tampering after Greece Police say they lied in their accounts after a bar customer became unconscious after drinking and hitting his head.
That customer, 68-year-old John Acito, died two weeks later. Police say the staff members waited at least half an hour to call 911 after Acito passed out at Dave’s Long Pond Pub on Long Pond Road on Dec. 17.
According to police, staff members said they found Acito in the parking lot and brought him inside the bar. However, investigators say they found surveillance video of Acito drinking inside the bar past 2 a.m. and hitting his head on the table and the floor…
