WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – After more than a quarter-century entertaining fans with thriller novels featuring former Navy SEAL and Secret Service agent Scot Harvath, New York Times best-selling author Brad Thor is working with new characters. Thor has co-authored his first novel with fellow author Ward Larsen called Cold Zero, which publishes Tuesday, February 10.
“I had this idea that wouldn’t fit into the normal Scot Harvath universe, the character that I write a book a year for Simon & Schuster‚” Thor said. “And so, I went to them and said, ‘Hey, I’ve got this really cool idea and I’d like to do this as a co-written thing. Would you let me explore doing it if I can find the right writer?’”
Thor said he had a list of ten potential co-authors, but Ward Larsen stood out, in part, because of his Scandinavian surname. “Only one of them had a Scandinavian last name,” he said. “That was Ward Larsen. So it was a slam dunk at that point. Thor and Larsen.”…
