One of my favorite cuisines to indulge in is Chinese food. When I moved to Amarillo, it was one of the first things I looked for. However, I ended up surprised by what I found…which was no “traditional” Chinese restaurants.
It was something that confused me. How could an entire city not have just Chinese cuisine? I noticed a lot of it was Thai, or some sort of fusion. I had to kind of recalibrate my thinking to find something I’d be into.
I immediately started to look at the menus of all the different Asian cuisine restaurants in Amarillo, and I found some of my favorites on a few of the menus, but overall? It was very different.
