CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The Cedar Rapids Fire Department says a six-year-old girl and a woman had to be taken to the hospital following a fire at an apartment late on Thursday in Cedar Rapids.
The department says crews were called to the 3700-block of 12th Avenue SW at 11:47 p.m. for a report of fire with people possibly inside.
Upon arrival, firefighters found fire in a first floor unit. A six-year-old girl had to be removed through a first floor window. She and an adult woman were taken to separate hospitals for evaluation…
