TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — A Travis County grand jury declined to indict four Austin police officers involved in the fatal shooting of a man who led authorities on a hours-long crime spree in 2024, according to the district attorney’s office.
The grand jury cleared Officers Javier Rodriguez, Joseph Kephart, Katherine Alzola and Andy Yu in the Nov. 7, 2024, shooting death of Zachary Labrie, 27, Travis County District Attorney José Garza announced.
“In this case, an independent group of members of the Travis County community heard the evidence and law and decided that Officers Rodriguez, Kephart, Alzola, and Yu’s conduct was not unlawful,” Garza said…
