Final course change window opens Friday for 26-27 school year

Starting Friday, freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will have one final opportunity to review their course selections for next school year during the counseling department’s final schedule change request window, which runs through Feb. 12. After this period ends, only course corrections, not full schedule changes, will be allowed.

For many students, this final window offers a chance to rethink earlier decisions. Sophomore Gowtham Modina, for instance, wants to participate in the Collin EDGE Program, a dual credit program offered by Frisco ISD to complete the entire 44-hour Texas Core Curriculum before high school graduation.

“I am changing my schedule so I can take dual credit classes through the new Collin EDGE program,” Modina said. “I joined the webinar with my parents a few months ago, and it seems like a program that would be really good for me.”…
