Family of woman struck and killed by debris outside Redwest Music Festival sues construction company

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The family of the woman who was struck and killed by construction debris while evacuating a music festival is suing the construction company.

On Oct. 13, 2025, 23-year-old Ava Ahlander was attending the Redwest Country Music Festival at the Utah State Fairpark. Due to severe wind and weather, the festival was cut short and evacuated.
