4 troopers injured as SWAT team executes warrant in Phoenix, DPS says

PHOENIX — At least one Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper was shot during an incident in Phoenix on Thursday, authorities confirmed to 12News.

Arizona Department of Public Safety SWAT troopers were serving a “high-risk search warrant” on Thursday evening, around 7 p.m., when a shooting involving troopers occurred.

At least one trooper was shot in the shoulder and taken to the hospital. Three other troopers sustained injuries, likely from shrapnel. The four troopers were treated and are now resting at home…
