26-year-old Nizar Adam Mazloum was charged Tuesday with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder after stabbing his 22-year-old female roommate Sunday.
Officers arrived at the residence, located in the 800 block of Arch Street near the intersection of Packard Street and State Street, around 9:45 a.m. Sunday. In a message to The Michigan Daily, Chris Page, Ann Arbor Police Department spokesperson, wrote Mazloum was arrested on scene while the woman was transported to the hospital with non-fatal injuries.
“Preliminary investigation revealed the stabbing occurred during an altercation between roommates,” Page wrote. “He was taken into custody without incident and later lodged at the Washtenaw County Jail.”…
