HENDERSONVILLE – City Council honored retiring Fire Chief James Miller and swore in his replacement, Justin Ward, before unanimously approving a raft of zoning and infrastructure items in the Feb. 6 meeting.
“You leave behind a stronger department and a safer city,” Kye Laughter, a staffer from U.S. Sen. Ted Budd’s office, told Miller, who was retiring from the Fire Department after a 35-year career.
