Dozens of City firefighters diverted to snow cleanup, prompting preparedness questions

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Nearly two weeks after a winter storm buried Baltimore City streets in snow and ice, frustrations are still mounting — and new questions are emerging about how prepared the city was to handle the cleanup.

Residents across multiple neighborhoods say piles of packed snow and ice continue to block parking, alleys, and sidewalks, making streets difficult to navigate 11 days after the storm.

“It makes me a little bit upset,” one resident said, “I’m just confused as to what the whole plan for this has been from the get-go.”…
