North Canton Community on Alert After Man Shot and Robbed, Police Seek Two Suspects

Residents of North Canton were shaken by a shooting incident yesterday afternoon in the 300 block of Rose Lane St. SE. Cleveland 19 reports that local police responded to the scene just after 4 p.m. following calls about a “popping sound” and a vehicle that ended up in a front yard. Witnesses saw two people running from the area, while another person was seen asking for help.

According to a Canton Repository release, the first detective arriving at the scene at 4:06 p.m. encountered two suspects fleeing towards Mississippi Street SE, while applying a tourniquet to the victim’s right leg, who suffered a “through-and-through” gunshot injury. With a limp, the victim was conscious and reported being robbed.

The suspects are described as two young males seen getting into a gold-colored Honda or Toyota by a witness and fleeing south on South Main Street. The North Canton Police Department, as stated by WKYC, has asked for the public’s assistance. They report that the authorities see no ongoing threat to the community, and the shooting appears to be an isolated incident…
