Mecklenburg officials issue measles exposure warning for 2 Charlotte locations

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mecklenburg County Public Health is warning residents of potential measles exposure at two Charlotte-area locations following a case from another jurisdiction.

Officials issued an exposure notice Thursday for the following locations:

  • Vista Auction, 2500 Sardis Rd., on Jan. 29-30 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Lidl, 9318 Monroe Rd., on Jan. 30 from 2-4:30 p.m.

Anyone who visited these locations during those times should monitor for symptoms, health officials said. The locations were not the source of the infection and are now safe to visit. Both locations are cooperating with the investigation.

The exposure is not linked to any of the three reported measles cases currently in Mecklenburg County, health officials said. Public health officials are working with partners across jurisdictions to investigate and monitor the situation as measles cases increase across the Carolinas…
