* Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (Newport Beach, Calif.) has unveiled plans to open up to 370 new restaurants this year, up from the 334 it opened last year. The chain disclosed those numbers in its full-year 2025 financial results, during which it reported total revenues of $11.9 billion, an increase of 5.4% from the year before. (That increase was partially offset by a 1.7% decrease in comparable restaurant sales due to lower transactions of 2.9% and a 1.2% increase in average check.) As of Dec. 31, the made-to-order chain had 4056 restaurants.
* Steakhouse operator Chops Lobster Bar (Atlanta) will debut its second locale in the downtown of its home city late this year, in a 13,000-square-foot space in Centennial Yards, a $5 billion, 50-acre mixed-use redevelopment.
