ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — After clear and windy conditions Saturday, North Georgia will see a dramatic shift in the weather pattern over the next few days. The First Alert Weather team is forecasting well above average highs into next week.
Tonight and Sunday
Clear skies will continue through tonight with winds gradually tapering off. Lows across the Atlanta metro and surrounding areas will dip into the mid-to-upper 20s, with colder conditions in the North Georgia mountains where temperatures could fall into the upper teens and low 20s.
Sunday will bring continued dry conditions with highs climbing into the 50s across the region. Thin high clouds may move in near the end of the day, but no rain is expected.
Noticeable Warmth Monday
Starting Monday, a major warming trend will kick into high gear. Temperatures will rise well above normal—as much as 10-15 degrees.
Highs in the upper 60s and 70s will become widespread across the Atlanta metro and North Georgia by midweek.
Rain Returns Wednesday Onward
The good news is the warmth. The trade-off is that rain chances will return starting Wednesday…
