Kingsburg PD Chief Shaun Stephens takes his oath

KINGSBURG – The changing of the guard in the Kingsburg Police Department is officially complete as the city’s new police chief took the oath of office in front of family, friends and the city council.

Police Chief Shaun Stephens was sworn into his position at the Kingsburg City Council meeting on Feb. 4, just a few weeks after the community celebrated the tenure of former Chief Neil Dadian. While Stephens has been in his new role for a little over a month, he has served the community for much longer, having begun his career as a reserve officer with the Kingsburg Police Department in 2000.

“I thank you for your service all these years, and thank you for what you’ve done for Kingsburg, and to your family as well,” Mayor Staci Smith said. “I’m excited about this opportunity for you. I know you’re going to do a great job, and we look forward to working with you.”…
