Limestone County judge sentences man in child solicitation, attempted trafficking case

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A man has been sentenced in Limestone County Court following convictions for electronic solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a child for unlawful sex acts, and attempted human trafficking.

Edgar Josue Castro-Juarez, 29, of Guatemala, received the following sentences:

  • 20 years for electronic solicitation of a child
  • 20 years for traveling to meet a child for unlawful sex acts
  • 20 years for attempted human trafficking

Castro-Juarez will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of life.

After he serves his sentence, he will be deported to Guatemala, officials said…
