Doug Brightwell, the director of the BCAC, said even a short-term foster can make a difference since the kennel environment is taking a toll on the dogs.
Brightline said “Valiente” is about 2 years old, came in as a stray from Pembroke Pines, and is good with other dogs and people outside the kennel.
“He is very stressed and anxious in the kennel, and he gets pretty cage aggressive at the door, so he poses some stress to himself and the folks trying to come in to see him, so we really want to get him out into a foster or into an adopted home,” Brightwell said…
