KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — An apartment building in West Knoxville suffered heavy smoke and water damage after a fire broke our Saturday afternoon, according to the Knoxville Fire Department.
KFD said the Knox County Emergency Communications District received a 911 call at 4:57 p.m. that there was smoke coming out of apartment building 30 at the Copper Point Apartments, and the caller said they did not know if anyone was home.
KFD said that upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke coming from apartment 417’s laundry room and extinguished it within minutes.
