Nashville small businesses hope Super Bowl will boost ice storm recovery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Americans are expected to spend a record $20.2 billion watching the Super Bowl this weekend, and Nashville small businesses are hoping that will help them recover from the ice storm.

Local restaurants said they have lost significant business over the last two weeks and are banking on the big game to get things back on track. They said it’s more important now than ever for people to shop small.

Restaurants prepare thousands of wings

Noble’s restaurant is preparing nearly 5,000 wings for Sunday, hoping to get packed bars at both their Central and East Nashville locations.

Managing Partner Mark White said they were able to stay open during the power outages, but not many customers were coming in. He’s hoping to change that with food and drink specials for the Super Bowl…
