A report is shedding light on a fatal crash in which a car plunged from an overpass and snarled traffic Friday morning on Interstate 75 in Sumter County.
A 27-year-old Inverness man was driving a Honda Accord at about 10 a.m. eastbound on County Road 462 when he lost control of the vehicle, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The vehicle drove off the overpass and landed on I-75, colliding with a Volvo SUV, driven by a 61-year-old Georgia man, who was traveling southbound on I-75.
