RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Food Lion is recalling four varieties of in-store prepared ground beef due to potential contamination. Store officials initiated the recall because small pieces of a black rubber plastic gasket may be present in the meat. The gasket became dislodged and damaged during the grinding process.
The recall affects:
- 73% Lean Fresh Ground Beef (All Sizes)
- 80% Lean Fresh Ground Chuck (All Sizes)
- 85% Lean Fresh Ground Round (All Sizes)
- 93% Lean Fresh Ground Beef (All Sizes)
All affected products were produced at the Food Lion store located at 11130 Hull Street, Midlothian, VA 23112 on February 6, 2026, after 11:30 a.m., with a Sell By Date of February 8, 2026.
