WICHITA, Kan. — Kansas is expected to experience a brief moderation in temperatures heading into Valentine’s Day weekend, with daytime highs climbing above recent cold levels while rain and snow chances linger through Feb. 20.

High temperatures across much of central and eastern Kansas, including the Wichita area, are forecast to reach the low to mid-30s on Friday and Saturday. Southern portions of the state may push closer to the upper 30s, while northern Kansas remains slightly cooler.
