HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Loved ones are remembering one of the original 1976 crew members of Polynesian voyaging canoe Hōkūle‘a.
Shorty Bertelmann of Kawaihae was 78 when he died in November, and the Polynesian Voyaging Society is honoring how he lived.
