ALBANY — The Port of Albany’s latest locomotive looks like a classic on the outside. But on the inside, it’s all green, so to speak.
Officials at the port held a celebration last month with the arrival of locomotive #2502. The locomotive is Environmental Protection Agency-certified and produces significantly less emissions than the previous locomotive. It has a Cummins-built, 1,500-horsepower engine.
