Asheville Police officer arrested, charged with DWI placed on administrative leave

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Asheville Police Department released a statement after an off-duty officer was charged and arrested with several charges, including driving while impaired.

According to the police department, on Saturday, Beau Baley was arrested by the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office on the following charges:

  • Driving While Impaired
  • Misdemeanor Child Abuse
  • Public Urination
  • Resisting Public Officer
  • Reckless Driving

The police department said Baley was placed on administrative suspension and an internal investigation has been launched.
