Calls grow in Gainesville to end the death penalty ahead of Ronald Heath execution

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – With only a couple days remaining before the first execution in Florida this year, some residents are calling on state leaders to end the use of the Death Penalty in Florida.

Gainesville Citizens for the Alternative to the Death Penalty gathered at Emmanuel Mennonite Church on Saturday afternoon.
