Anderson County officials have confirmed that the Kid Rock-backed Rock the Country festival has canceled its planned July stop in South Carolina, following a wave of artist withdrawals.
The concert, scheduled for July 25–26, 2026, at the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center, was scrapped with little explanation, according to county administrator Rusty Burns. Officials were notified on the evening of Feb. 5.
“We weren’t told a reason,” Burns told The Post & Courier. “It happens in the business. We had a good, two-year run.” The cancellation is the most significant setback yet for the eight-date summer festival series launched by Kid Rock, featuring co-headliner Jason Aldean and other prominent country and rock acts.
